    Cambridge International Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Security Systems Engineer to join our design team in Charleston, SC.  Qualified candidates must possess an active Secret clearance and US Passport.  Active TS clearance strongly desired.

    Qualified candidates will have experience working in a MILCON construction environment providing engineering support services to projects of low to high complexity and volume. Candidates will have experience in the design of security systems supporting large scale networks. Candidates will have a strong working knowledge of implementing intrusion detection, access control, and video surveillance system designs in a DoD environment and ensuring the network designs meet or exceed DoD policies and requirements; including cyber security policies. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Produce security systems designs utilizing digital signal formats and interfaces. Systems will include intrusion detection, access control, physical intrusion, and IP-based video.
    • Program, customize, and troubleshoot IDS/ACS control software. Desired vendor experience with AMAG, Lenel, and/or DMP.
    • Document security system requirements and specify minimum acceptable material requirements.
    • Produce and manage cabling run lists.
    • Create and edit project specifications based on project criteria.
    • Produce test plans.
    • Produce and review project submittals.
    • Produce and respond to Requests for Information (RFI).
    • Create and maintain drawing, specification, studies, and various design logs.
    • Assist project teams with producing project deliverables.
    • Produce plans and test procedures for Pre-Installation and Check Out (PITCO) activities.
    • Produce detailed design drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT based on project criteria.
    • Produce detailed shop drawings in AutoCAD or REVIT based on project criteria.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems management, mathematics, physical sciences, operations research, statistics, or engineering from an accredited college or university (will consider other combinations of education, years of experience, training and certifications.
    • Five (5) years of experience and expert knowledge with security systems engineering. The individual should have experience working with a development team to implement security systems hardware and software solutions.
    • Active Secret clearance.  TS clearance strongly desired.
    • Valid US Passport and the ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations.

     DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Familiarity with SPAWAR Shore Installation Process Handbook
    • Familiarity with the Unified Facilities Guide Specifications
    • Familiarity with Whole Building Design Guide (WBDG)
    • Familiarity with the Intelligence Community Directive 705 (ICD-705)
    • Desired manufacturer certifications include AMAG, Lenel, DMP, Bosch, Pelco, Axis, Honeywell, or similar.
