    Job Description

    If you are a recent graduate of a Pulp and Paper/Chemical Engineering bachelor’s degree program and/or a candidate with 1-2 years of experience in a relevant area, this may be good opportunity for you!

    You could be working in any or all the following activities:

    Developing clients’ core business and market strategies.

    • Creating and analysing industry cost competitiveness models.

    • Supporting due diligence and M&A processes.

    • Supporting Operational Excellence projects helping clients to improve their operational and financial performance.

    • Gathering qualitative and quantitative information that drive rigorous business case analysis.

    • Building models and develop insights that support client strategic decisions.

    • Conducting structured analysis and benchmarking of industry supply curves and assets.

    • Helping maintain and update AFRY’s internal cost competitiveness databases that contain descriptions and details on every pulp, packaging, tissue and paper mill in the world.

    • Conducting data and information analysis with the objective to identify deviations, variations and productivity gaps.

    • Collaborate with the project teams and more senior consultants throughout different projects including brainstorming for ideas and formulating recommendations.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Must currently be available and have the right to live and work in one of our USA locations.

    • At least 1 year previous experience but no more than 4 years in process manufacturing is highly-desired, but not a requirement.

    • Four-Year Engineering Degree (preferably Pulp and Paper Science or Chemical Engineering) is required.

    • Master’s degree is an advantage

    • The ability to communicate well is essential to the job: orally, written, and through clear charts and graphs.

    • Willingness to work in a variety of different roles, cultural settings and across sectors in an international environment.

    • Strong analytical and quantitative problem solving skills.

    • Fluency in English is required. Due to the global nature of our company and client projects, the ability to communicate in other languages may be advantageous.

    • Prior exposure to process manufacturing, particularly in the paper, pulp, and packaging is a plus.

    • Strong computer skills are required including: Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office Suite.

    • The ability to locate accurate information through internet research is also necessary.
