Job Description
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible to assist in all hiring activities, from open requisitions, to interviewing candidates, and supporting all recruiting efforts. This position will include connecting with potential candidates online and offline, screening applications, facilitating and scheduling interviews. This role will provide a positive candidate experience throughout the entire recruiting process, as well as a positive onboarding experience. In addition, this role is required to uphold our core values of Ethics, Engagement and Excellence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:_________________________________________________
- Assist with finalizing job descriptions to ensure accuracy
- Screen resumes and job applications
- Conduct initial phones screens to create shortlist of qualified candidates
- Follow up with candidates throughout the hiring process
- Create and facilitate an improved onboarding new hire experience
- Order and maintain new hire swag materials
- Coordinate communications for all new hires and promotions
- Facilitate the “Promotion Project” sponsored by the CEO
- Maintain a database of potential candidates for future job openings
- Background and drug screenings for all new hires
- Complete onboarding checklist for all onboarding new hires
- Complete transfer – promotion checklist
- Assist with the planning and execution of AFS HR events
- This position also performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS:__________________________________________
- Extremely detail oriented with high level of organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong computer skills with MS Office Software: Outlook, Word, and Excel
- Must be able to act calmly and effectively in busy or stressful situations
- Must be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all managers and peers
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:_______________________________________________
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline or the equivalent in education and work experience, preferred.
- At least two years of experience working in a recruiting or sourcing role.
