Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Assistant Warehouse Manager to join our team. You will oversee warehouse operations and ensure receiving, distribution, and storage run smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities include ensuring that inventory is organized, orders are processed accurately, timely shipments, and error-free invoices. The ideal candidate is highly organized and has experience in warehouse operations or logistics.
Responsibilities
Assist in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse
Ensure orders are shipped promptly and customers are satisfied
Schedule Less-than-truckload Freight Orders
Assist in the hiring, training, and managing of warehouse employees
Monitor shipping metrics, reporting to company leadership to assess and provide solutions to issues promptly.
Manage stock from receiving to shipping
Adhere to all local, state, and federal laws and safety regulations
Ensure Daily Cleaning/Organization Checklist
Educate employees on safety guidelines and reduce on-the-job accidents and injuries
Monitor and manage the productivity of the employees.
Communicate with vendors, clients, employees, and company leadership to ensure all areas of the company are working together cohesively
Ad Hoc Projects
Knowledge of E-Commerce Platforms is preferred ( Shipstation, Veeqo, Etc).
General Knowledge of LTL Freight is preferred
Qualifications
High school diploma/GED required, Associate’s degree preferred
1+ years of Previous experience in warehouse or logistics is preferred
Excellent leadership skills
Familiarity with state and federal safety regulations
Strong interpersonal skills
General Knowledge of LTL Freight is preferred
General Knowledge of Excel
Good Attitude & thinking outside the box mentality
