AGM Management is a nationwide affordable housing property management company. Currently, we are seeking a mid-level/experienced apartment maintenance technician to work full-time for Vantage Point Apartments in Wellington, KS.
The ideal apartment maintenance technician would be someone with experience in apartment/residential maintenance, HVAC service, plumbing and electrical work, appliance repair, or related fields. The technician must be professional, organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.
They must be able to perform all aspects of apartment maintenance, including all responsibilities identified below. All apartment maintenance technicians must have a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and a willingness to commute to and from work regularly.
- Prepare vacant units for market, including painting, drywall, carpentry, and general repairs.
- Perform routine repairs, including plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, appliance, plumbing, and light electrical.
- Obtain bids from vendors for routine work and order shop materials.
- Perform routine quarterly unit inspections and preventive maintenance on the buildings.
- Perform on-call emergency repairs after-hours (evening and weekend hours variable).
- Perform routine grounds-keeping duties on behalf of 1 property in Abilene, KS (mowing, snow removal, etc.).
- Prioritize and organize work orders, capital improvements, and vacant units.
- All other relevant job duties as assigned by on-site and regional management.
Employment Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Must own and be able to use basic tools required for the job
- Lift/move up to approximately 75 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must be able to work on feet for 8+ hours per day
- EPA, OSHA, or related industry certifications (HVAC 608 EPA-universal preferred**)
- Skilled trade training certifications - HVAC, electrical, or plumbing
- 3+ years of apartment maintenance experience
- HVAC experience installing and troubleshooting common issues
- Advanced carpentry skills and ability to install and maintain doors, windows, wood siding, drywall, and cabinets
