    Are you looking to leverage your expertise to grow a role that offers varied and challenging work? Our company, a leading parent organization that owns and operates 340+ franchise locations across North America, is seeking a new AI Automation Engineer.

    This position will be instrumental in designing, developing, and deploying AI-powered workflow automations that improve efficiency, reduce administrative burden, and deliver measurable business value. This is a highly visible role that supports our mission of driving operational excellence through stability, security, and intelligence. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure DevOps/AI services, and similar technologies. They will collaborate with our Technical Project Manager, business leaders, and external vendors to identify opportunities, prototype solutions, and operationalize automation at scale.

    Position: AI Automation Engineer Reports to: Business Technology Team Location: Jacksonville, FL Salary Range: $80K - $110K annually

    Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

    Partner with the Technical Project Manager and business units to identify and prioritize automation opportunities.

    Design, build, and deploy AI-powered workflow automations using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, Azure AI, Power Automate, and RPA tools.

    Integrate AI solutions with existing enterprise systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, QuickBase, Sage Intacct, job management platforms).

    Collaborate with vendors to configure, customize, and extend third-party AI capabilities.

    Document current-state processes and design future-state workflows enabled by automation.

    Ensure all AI initiatives align with security, compliance, and SOC 2 standards.

    Track and report on efficiency gains, time saved, and ROI from deployed automations.

    Stay current with emerging AI tools and best practices, providing recommendations for future adoption.

    Competency – Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Experience in workflow automation, AI engineering, or related roles.

    Proficiency with AI tools such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT/OpenAI, Azure Cognitive Services, and Power Platform.

    Experience with APIs, system integrations, and RPA platforms (e.g., UiPath, Power Automate, Zapier, N8N).

    Strong understanding of enterprise cloud environments, particularly Microsoft Azure.

    Ability to translate business problems into technical automation solutions.

    Excellent communication and documentation skills.

    Strong background in business process analysis, documentation, and optimization.

    Experience working with outsourced development teams and third-party vendors.

    Computer literacy with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint, Adobe, OneDrive, etc.)

    Required Education and Experience

    Bachelor’s degree in the technology field or related industry

    Preferred Education and Experience

    Experience in business, construction, or computer science industries

    Experience with industry software

    PMP, Agile, or other project management certifications

    Experience working with Azure-based solutions or similar cloud platforms

    Exposure to AI tools such as ChatGPT, RPA platforms, or data integration systems

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, or kneel. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

    Must be able to stay in a stationary position up to 75% of the time

    The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, fax machine, copy machine, and computer printer

    Must be able to observe and perceive information on a computer and documents

    Must be able to communicate and converse with customers over the phone

    Occasionally will lift up to 10lbs

    Ability to safely operate a company vehicle

    Work Environment

    The employee will be working remotely in their home office and will be exposed to normal conditions of air conditioning and heat. Most work will be conducted over email, video conferencing, and telephone. Employees must have access to a stable internet connection when working out of the office. Employees must use the provided VPN technology to securely connect remotely. The successful person must be productive with minimal supervision.

    Travel

    This position may require up to 25% travel. This position requires travel to franchise locations, company meetings/events, and training.
