You'll be part of the future of our company across the company as a strong writer, creator, builder with great taste who wants to break into high-growth business content for Contrarian Thinking, an investment and advisory firm founded by founder Codie Sanchez.

You'll be responsible for writing high-performing short-form business content and helping shape how Contrarian Thinking shows up across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts.

This role sits at the intersection of AI, vibe-coding, writing, trend analysis, and social strategy. You'll write scripts, study what's working across short-form platforms, and adapt winning formats into content that performs.

If you're obsessed with storytelling and technology colliding, and eager to learn fast inside a high-performance team, this role is for you. You will report to the Short Form Creative Lead & have a direct line to Codie.

What is Contrarian Thinking?

Who are we: We are an investment and advisory firm powered by media and led by veterans of Wall Street, Private Equity, and operators of Main Street businesses. We help owners BUY, SCALE , and SELL businesses.

Our Ecosystem:

1. Capital & Investment Company - We invest millions annually in businesses, and support our portfolio businesses in scaling to create enduring, profitable businesses they love to run, but also change the world.
2. Events & Community - We help business buyers and builders with live workshops, weekly calls, and annual events around the country. We have two types of communities: 1) For Buyers - a vetted community of buyers who utilize our campus, curriculum, and advisors to buy or invest in businesses, and 2) For Builders - a community and events where we help builders use our proven scaling systems, advisors, and curriculum to grow profitable, enduring businesses.
3. **Media & Content **- We aim to be the biggest and most trusted business media company in the world - through podcasts, YouTube, books, and online education. We aim to make business and finance content better than any University degree.

• BUILD AND CREATE COOL THINGS!
• Treat short-form platforms as programmable environments
  • Reverse-engineer incentives, ranking signals, and attention curves
• Use AI as a thinking multiplier, not a drafting assistant
  • Chain LLMs to explore angles, counter-angles, and edge cases
  • Compress hours of ideation into minutes
  • Override AI outputs with taste, judgment, and domain fluency
• Build and maintain vibe-coded content systems
  • Prompt stacks for hooks, rewrites, compression, and polarity
  • Script generators that output platform-specific variants
  • Libraries of reusable formats that compound over time
• Translate complex business concepts into low-entropy, high-signal language
• Write scripts as executable artifacts
• Collaborate with creators and editors as a systems architect
• Treat performance data as training signals, iterate formats algorithmically
  • Feed retention curves back into prompt systems

Location

This position requires full-time, in-office work at our Austin, Texas headquarters. Applicants must reside (or be willing to relocate) to within a 1-hour drive of Austin to be considered.
