AIM is a provider of Supported Living and Independent Living Skills for 34 years. Join our dedicated team. Our office is in Long Beach however we serve clients in the surrounding cities such and the South Bay area that includes Carson, Torrance, Redondo Beach, Palos Verdes, San Pedro and Rolling Hills. This job may start at part time but has full time potential if desired. Work with adults who have developmental challenges such as Autism Spectrum, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy and Developmental Challenges. Our clients are high functioning in terms of self care however, some may need reminders and prompting with grooming. Support is individual to the client and may include mentoring in the areas of money management, housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, reviewing mail, safety skills, accessing transportation. Some clients may need accompaniment to Doctors and Dentists visits, Social Security and Public assistance programs. If a client has a pet, some prompting and assistance may be needed from time to time. Social and recreational activities are a much enjoyed part of our program. We have monthly theme parties around holidays and birthdays in our office venue. An activity director arranges dates for movies, dining out, ball games, volunteer beach clean up and other community activities. Our clients may have social medias and at times a talk about safety and scams are helpful. These are other possible activities our Mentors can participate in with their clients.

Reliable car and insurance proof is generally required as you will be traveling one or more clients homes per day. The exception would be if we are able to find one or more clients living in close proximity to your home and we confirm walking or use other mode of transportation is reliable.
