    Job Title: Davenport Operator

    Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Davenport Operator to join our manufacturing team. The Davenport Operator will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining Davenport screw machines to produce high-quality precision parts.     Responsibilities:

    1. Machine Setup: Set up Davenport screw machines by selecting and installing appropriate tooling, fixtures, and materials according to engineering drawings and specifications.

    2. Operation: Operate Davenport screw machines to produce precision parts, ensuring that machines are running efficiently and within specified tolerances.

    3. Quality Control: Monitor the quality of machined parts by conducting regular inspections, measuring dimensions, and making necessary adjustments to maintain quality standards.

    4. Tool Changes: Change and adjust cutting tools and tooling as needed during production runs to maintain accuracy and quality.

    5. Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of Davenport machines, including lubrication, tool changes, and minor repairs.

    6. Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot issues with machines or tooling, making adjustments or repairs to minimize downtime.

    7. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, tool changes, and any issues encountered during operation.

    8. Safety: Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.

    9. Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure production goals are met.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Proven experience as a Davenport Operator or in a similar machining role.
    • Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining principles.
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
    • Proficiency in machine setup, operation, and maintenance.
    • Attention to detail and precision in machining.
    • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
    • Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods.
