Job Location: Substance Abuse Rehabilitation Program (SARP) at Camp Lejeune Naval Medical Center
Qualifications:
Possess a Master’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatry, nursing, or a related field from an accredited university.
Certification in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy through the Academy of Cognitive and Behavioral Therapies.
Minimum of one year of experience as a Cognitive/Behavioral Therapist within the last three years.
Board Certification: None required.
Licensure/Registration: None required.
Duties:
Provide services within the scope of competencies, applicable duties in the basic contract, and additional responsibilities.
Offer a full range of counseling as it relates to cognitive and behavior therapy.
Administer programs of treatment to assist mentally and emotionally disturbed individuals in adjusting to life.
Assist in treating rehabilitation patients.
Provide support to individuals in times of personal crisis, such as divorce or the death of a loved one.
Interview patients and thoroughly review medical and social case histories.
Exercise appropriate clinical delegation of tasks and duties: Direct and coordinate healthcare team members, patient care, and clinic activities.
Participate in the implementation of the Family Advocacy Program: Conduct necessary medical examinations, document findings, and report as directed.
Participate in providing in-service training: Offer training and clinical guidance to clinic staff members, including government employees such as hospital corpsmen and students.
