    Job Description

    The UX Team @ AIR Worldwide is searching for a User Experience (UX) Design Coop to work alongside our User Experience Designers. This is an intern level production role on our User Experience team. You will learn from some of the best minds in the industry on how to design compelling, simple and powerful user interfaces and workflows for desktop and online experiences. Key learnings include wire framing, usability testing, creating interactive prototypes, working on a design system and other client and product deliverables. Depending on your experience, you may have responsibility for smaller projects as you grow into your position. This is a great entry-level opportunity to develop a solid foundation as you become a full-fledged User Experience Designer.

    IS THIS YOU? 

    Candidates must be able to design and present proof-of-concepts, iterate designs rapidly, incorporate feedback from partners, and keep meticulous documentation of interaction patterns. Designs should support business goals, follow contemporary user-centered design principles, and adhere to technical capabilities and limitations.

    KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Ability to get things done!
    • You are highly motivated
    • Familiar with Human Factors/UX principles
    • Fluency in design and prototyping tools

    ·         Have an understanding of Agile methodology

    ·         Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities

    ·         Strong communication skills and prior experience working closely with and presenting design ideas

    • Can think at all layers, from product (system) design, to interaction, to beautiful pixels
    • Design wireframes, user journeys, flows, and interactive prototypes for a variety of devices and interfaces
    • Experience developing innovative approaches for complex design problems

    EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

    ·         Candidates must be a registered student in an undergraduate or master’s degree program for Computer Science, Human Factors, HCI, or related design field

    ·         Preferred prior work or internship experience in a related field

    ·         Candidates must be available to work on-site d

    ADDITIONAL SKILLS:  

    ·         Experience with prototyping and visual design tools such as Axure and the Adobe Creative Suite or related

    ·         Knowledge of web-based UI development technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Angular.js, etc. is a PLUS!

    ·         You have some experience in Interaction Design, Visual Design and/or User Research

    • Have visual design skills, including command of hierarchy, typography, aesthetics, composition, and construction of meaningful imagery

    ·         Portfolio that includes a variety of samples
