Job Description

Verisk’s Summer Internship Program is designed to provide our interns with real work experience, professional development events, and networking opportunities. We're looking for motivated individuals who embody the Verisk Way to Serve, Add Value, and Innovate. The 2021 Summer Internship Program runs from June 1 - August 6.

The role includes project-based data analytics under the supervision of experienced consultants, where large volumes of insurance portfolio data will be cleansed and analyzed in AIR’s catastrophe modeling platform, Touchstone. 

The interns will engage with the results of the model analysis to prepare reports and draw conclusions on the loss output for AIR’s insurance and reinsurance clients.  In addition to project-based work, Interns will partner with experienced consultants to review questions and feedback from AIR clients and will work to develop skills necessary to engage directly with AIR clients.  It is anticipated at the end of a 10-week program the Interns will be doing production level analyses and responding directly to client inquiries.

Qualifications

You are currently studying towards an under-graduate or post-graduate degree course or MBA, expecting to graduate in Spring 2022.

Quantitative field of study such as applied math, statistics, actuarial science, or engineering   

The Intern Program is not eligible for work visa sponsorship.  If you will require work visa sponsorship after completing your degree, you do not meet the basic requirements of the summer Intern role.
