POSITION OVERVIEW:
AIT is seeking a highly energetic individual to join our team and take on an exciting and challenging Operations role at our ATL Station! The OPERATIONS MANAGER position will be responsible for establishing and executing company strategies related to domestic freight movements through an understanding of industry services, pricing models, and best practices. The Manager will monitor specific daily reports, quality management standards associated with the domestic product and its verticals. The position will have managerial oversight over the domestic operations and customer service departments.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING DAY-TO-DAY:
- Assist in escalation request, research and address issues with employees. Update process to fit resolutions and continue process improvement flow.
- Manage and assign work schedules, monitor overtime and time off request to assure department coverage based on business needs.
- Monitor lane volumes, cost and preferred carrier usage
- Manually review all lanes by transit time, service, claims, and cost.
- Review of management of daily KPI and QMS service reports
- Manage of rollouts and distribution projects.
- Ability to oversee the warehouse inbound, outbound, international flow.
- Assign quarterly and annually goals and monitor employee’s or direct reports goals progresses
- Provide a climate and culture for motivational excellence.
- Interact effectively with teammates and internal partners at all levels within the organization.
- All other duties as assigned

OTHER SKILLS WE HOPE TO SEE:
- High School Degree or GED, required
- 7-10 years of international and domestic industry experience
- 3-5 years of managerial experience, strongly preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Suites, AS400, Cargowise, strongly preferred
- Haz-Mat Certified, preferred
- ITAR Certified, preferred
- Forklift certification and experience required
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
