AJ Recruiting Company is a boutique direct hire placement agency. We are currently looking for a Senior Accountant for a luxury real estate developer headquartered in Century City, California. 

The Senior Accountant in this role will have a unique opportunity to work on a renowned, high-end, luxury project in Los Angeles. In this position, the Senior Accountant will have the opportunity to learn and collaborate directly with the Director of Accounting and CFO. 

This role pays $75k to $90k annually depending on experience level. 

NOTE: This is an IN Office position.

Responsibilities: 

- Month end close responsibilities including posting journal entries, reconciliations, and preparing financial statements

- Prepare and analyze financial reports and ensuring overall accuracy and timeliness of reporting

- Perform monthly balance sheet, income statement, trail balance review and budget vs actual variance analysis. 

- Monitor project progress and analyze project financials

- Prepare and maintain monthly loan draw requests for all legal entities

- Set up contracts, change orders, and insurance updates in accounting software

- Participate in quarter end forecasting and handle the annual audit preparation

- Ad hoc duties as assigned.

Requirements: 

- Recent accounting experience in the real estate industry highly preferred 

- Construction/development accounting experience preferred but not required

- Bachelors degree in accounting, finance, economics, mathematics, business administration
