Can you communicate with any audience? Are you organized? AKKO, a seed-funded insurtech company, is seeking a funny & talented Social Media & Marketing Intern to support our ongoing brand-building efforts. This job is fully remote with flexible hours. You'll help us build our voice on social media, optimize our digital brand and marketing strategies, and prepare materials for advertising and promotional purposes. 

For the right candidate, this role can be combined with our other available intern roles in Data Science and/or Business Development.

Responsibilities: 

• Consistently updating our profiles on Twitter, Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn: creating memes, interacting with mentions, posting content on a regular schedule with Loomly, and other tactics to grow our following
• Ideating new tactics for growing our social presence
• Working on content and copy projects as assigned
• Supporting our analysis and optimization of marketing data
• Conducting influencer outreach

Qualifications:

• Social media proficiency across channels
• Desire to learn about social media content generation & account growth
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proactive, self-starter, solution-oriented
• Sense of humor & positive attitude
• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency
• Preferred: proficiency in Adobe Photoshop & Canva
