Job Description
The Document Management Analyst will provide analytical, technical and administrative assistance to support the investigative and prosecutorial needs.
The Document Management Analyst will perform a variety of automated, analytical and administrative support necessary to prepare, organize, review, index, develop and manage electronically stored information (ESI) and other exhibits, evidence, and data relevant to civil cases.
The Document Management Analyst shall provide investigative and prosecutorial support services that include the following:
• Performs litigation support tasks, including, for example, detailed review and analysis of case materials in a broad range of subject matters.
Verify citations and legal references on prepared legal documents.
• Conducts detailed indexing of case files. Use established procedures and policies, to reviews case file materials and identify materials to be purged and/or maintained with the closed file; locate any materials missing to complete the file.
• Screens for privilege documents. Search for and summarizes relevant articles in trade magazines, law reviews, published studies, financial reports, and similar materials for use of attorneys in the preparation of opinions, briefs, and other legal documents.
• Conducts database searches.
• Performs e-discovery culling. Review case materials and is familiar with issues relevant to the legal issue at hand.
• Search for and obtain information from internal paper files, automated case management databases, court records, and other sources, to identify the status of a case.
• Assists in preparation of subpoenas, requests necessary services for trial and/or grand jury matters.
• Proofreads and edits deliverable products. Review outgoing correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, format, and presentation. Brings errors to the attention of the writer.
• Data entry may be required, along with legal research.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Preferred
Paralegal Certificate Preferred
Experience in a Legal Setting Preferred
