    Job Description

    Requires knowledge of litigation discovery process, and the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) workflow.  Knowledge of Government IT environment, including office automation networks, PC and server based applications preferred.  Working knowledge of personal computers, including Windows, document review software, and encryption methods.  Experience with LAW, IPRO, Relativity or other document processing platform.  Familiarity with ICONECT, Relativity, MS Office Suite, and West LiveNote valued.  At least two years’ experience performing eDiscovery roles including but not limited to electronic files processing (EFP), image and data file conversion, data culling using review tools, quality assurance, database loads and retrieval, and data analysis.  Undergraduate degree preferred-preferably in computer science or related field. 

    Proficient in Relativity, Concordance, LAW Prediscovery, IPRO, CaseMap, Trial Director and Microsoft Office (Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word)

    Work closely with Automated Litigation Support (ALS) staff to ensure adherence to standard protocols for the management of case data (e.g., the collection, tracking, and organization of case data), data production, data processing (i.e., the use of software tools to extract information about individual files and create an image of a file, so that the file may be placed into a document review tool), the creation and administration of document review databases (e.g., Eclipse and Relativity), and the presentation of case data.

     

    1. Support attorneys, paralegals, and legal assistants in the efficient and effective use of document review platforms, including but not limited to, the use of computer-assisted review, search terms and other functionalities available through such platforms.

    2. Assist staff with the automated organization, implementation and utilization of case information for efficient retrieval through means such as scanning, indexing and controlling of documents into a database. Assist with monitoring, quality control and verifying user input and output to automated litigation support systems. Troubleshoot, test and implement automated litigation support software, policies and procedures. Provide automated litigation support help desk customer support.

    3. Perform file manipulation, loading and conversion. Create and modify files for upload into off-the-shelf software applications and, when needed, perform individual file conversion in support of electronic file processing. Must be able to ensure the accuracy of data loading, manipulation and conversion by performing and documenting quality and

    accuracy checks. Prepare files and data for storage on optical media and external storage devices. Transfer files and data to, and· document, test and verify same.

    1. Provide expert user services and support for litigation support software • applications such as Relativity, Concordance, LAW Prediscovery, IPRO, CaseMap, Trial Director and Microsoft Office (Access, PowerPoint, Excel and Word) and other applications to support automated litigation support functions.

    2. Perform media duplication, conversion and troubleshooting.
