    JOB DESCRIPTION:

    Reporting to the Senior Director, Clinical Operations, the Registered Nurse provides care to paid donors undergoing blood and/or tissue collections in an outpatient setting. This RN will primarily be responsible for administering injections during the weekend mornings and weekend and weekday evenings pm as needed.  Injections are given to healthy adults for stem cell mobilization followed by white blood cell collections. time. 

    THIS POSITION WILL COMPENSATE A MINIMUM OF 2 HOURS WORK FOR THE ONE INJECTION WITH AN ADDITIONAL HOUR OF PAY FOR EACH INJECTION AFTER. UP TO 4 INJECTIONS ON WEEKEND MORNINGS OR WEEKEND/WEEKDAY EVENINGS (5 HOURS PAY FOR 2 HOURS WORK) 

     ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs injections on donors 

    • Collection lab samples on donors as needed

    • Follow established process flow to ensure customer orders are fulfilled and shipped timely.

    • Perform and document pertinent assessments to establish donor eligibility and qualifications.

    • Provide donor education as it relates to specific collection procedures.

    • Ability to analyze diagnostic laboratory data.

    • Ensure donor safety including managing adverse events during injection procedures.

    • Demonstrate effective and professional interdisciplinary communication.

    • Demonstrate competency and maintain confidentiality.

    • Anticipates and recognizes changes in the patient's status and need for intervention

    • Demonstrates effective communication skills 

    • Cooperates and communicates effectively with other team members in order to accomplish the workload.

    • Adheres to documentation standards. 

    • Assess, evaluate & perform tasks & duties to provide safe & quality care to donors

    • Other’s duties and responsibilities as assigned

     JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program.

    • Massachusetts Registered Nurse

    • BLS Certification

    • 1-2 years’ experience with injections 

    • Communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills
