Job Summary: The Chief Technology Officer (CTO) at Alonso & Alonso Attorneys at Law will be responsible for driving the strategic vision and management of the firm's technology ecosystem. As a key member of the leadership team, the CTO will play a crucial role in enhancing the firm's operational efficiency, client services, and overall competitive edge in the field of Immigration law.
Key Responsibilities:
Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology strategy aligned with the firm's business goals and objectives. Identify opportunities for technological advancements and innovation to enhance client services and streamline internal processes.
Infrastructure Management: Oversee the firm's IT infrastructure, ensuring it is secure, reliable, and scalable. This includes hardware, software, networking, and cloud-based systems.
Data Security and Compliance: Implement robust data security measures and ensure compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., client confidentiality, GDPR, etc.). Safeguard client data and maintain the highest standards of security.
Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing technology team. Provide mentorship, guidance, and professional development opportunities to team members. Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
Vendor Management: Manage relationships with technology vendors, negotiate contracts, and evaluate new solutions that can enhance the firm's capabilities and efficiency.
Project Management: Oversee technology projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they are on time and within budget. Coordinate with legal professionals to understand their technology needs and priorities.
Budget Management: Develop and manage the technology budget, ensuring that resources are allocated effectively and efficiently.
Emerging Technologies: Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies, assessing their potential impact on the firm and recommending adoption when appropriate.
Risk Management: Identify and mitigate technology-related risks, ensuring business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place.
Client-Facing Technology: Collaborate with legal teams to leverage technology for improving client experiences, including client portals, case management systems, and online appointment scheduling.
Documentation and Training: Maintain comprehensive documentation of technology systems and processes and provide training to staff as needed.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
Proven experience as a CTO or in a senior technology leadership role.
Strong knowledge of IT systems, security, and best practices.
Familiarity with legal technology and case management systems (e.g., Clio, MyCase, or similar).
Excellent project management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Exceptional leadership and communication abilities.
In-depth understanding of data privacy and compliance regulations in the legal industry.
Knowledge of immigration law and related technology solutions is a plus.
Bilingual ENG-SPA is a plus.
