Job Description

 A government contractor supporting NGA is seeking a REMOTE SR SOFTWARE DEVELOPERWITH AN ACTIVE TS/SCI CLEARANCE to join their team based in SPRINGFIELD, VA. THIS POSITION WILL REQUIRE THE INCUMBENT TO BE IN OFFICE 5-10% OF THE TIME IN A SCIF ENVIRONMENT. SALARY:125K-140K PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Researches, designs, develops,and/or modifies enterprise-wide systemsand/or applicationssoftware
• The team will provide Operations and Sustainment support for the Application Service Provider (ASP) components of the operational Content Services systems and applications. Operations Support is the performance of those activities that enable systems and applications to meet performance and other defined mission requirements or service in a cost-effective manner.
• Designs, develops, codes, tests,anddebugs highly complex new software products or makes significant enhancements to existing software.
• Develops and applies advanced methods, theories, and research techniques in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced software applications and problems.
• Resolves highly complex hardware/software compatibility and interface design considerations.
• Conducts investigationsandtests of considerable complexity.
• Factors emerging technologies and product supportability into design and implementation.
• Provides input to staff involved in writing and updating technical documentation such as user manuals, system documentation,and training materials.
• Advises hardware engineers on machine characteristics that affect software systems, such as storage capacity, processing speed,and input/output requirements.
• Prepares reports on analyses, findings,and project progress,and presents results to managementand/or customer personnel.

MINIMUM EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science
• TS/SCI CLEARANCE
• Significant Java development experience
• Experience with Python
• Experience with Visual Studio and/or JBOSS preferred
• Experience with AWS preferred
