About the Role:
Micheli Bakery is looking for a talented and passionate AM Baker to join our team in the heart of New York, NY. If you love the art of baking and thrive in an early-morning, fast-paced kitchen environment, this is your opportunity to bring fresh, delicious creations to life every day.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and bake a variety of breads, pastries, and baked goods during morning production shifts
Follow established recipes and production schedules to ensure consistent quality and timely output
Measure and mix ingredients accurately using commercial baking equipment
Monitor oven temperatures, baking times, and product quality throughout the shift
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary workstation in compliance with food safety standards
Assist with inventory management, including restocking supplies and flagging low inventory
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth morning operations and on-time product availability
Requirements:
Prior experience in a professional bakery, café, or food service environment preferred
Ability to work early morning shifts, including weekends and holidays
Knowledge of baking techniques, dough handling, and pastry production
Familiarity with commercial baking equipment such as deck ovens, mixers, and proofers
Strong attention to detail and commitment to consistent product quality
Food Handler's Certificate or ServSafe certification a plus
Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
