JOB DESCRIPTION
The Bulk/Aggregate Truck Driver will support portable ready mix concrete operations located throughout the Intermountain West. We are seeking OTR Class A drivers to haul sand/gravel/aggregate loads to our portable ready mix plant facilities. Working hours will vary and may include weekends.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid CDL – Class A or B Driver's license (License must be the State of residence).
Able to drive a manual or automatic transmission.
Must maintain a clean driving record.
Must be able to perform and have acknowledged all safety regulations as determined by FMCSA, OSHA, and Company policies.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to perform pre-trip and post-trip making sure truck is in safe conditions.
Maintains telephone contact with dispatch for instructions.
Maintains truck logs as required by the State, Federal, and Company policies and regulations.
Maintains the cleanliness of assigned truck.
Operates individually and within a team environment.
Performs other job-related duties.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Must be at least 21 years old.
A minimum of two years of experience performing the functions listed above.
Reasonable, clean MVR.
Doubles endorsement with at least 6 months experience utilizing a belly or side dump, step decks, or some tankers.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Will be required to work overtime and weekends as business needs determine.
Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposure to weather elements, dust, noise, etc.
Some work will be performed in confined spaces and at extreme heights.
Must be able to wear all required personal protective equipment including safety glasses, respiratory protection, safety belts, gloves, etc.
Familiarity with DOT regulations.
Work independently.
Pass a drug screen and physical.
Read, write, and communicate in English.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to climb stairs, climb ladders, reach, squat, tolerate prolonged standing/walking, balance, bend from trunk, crawl, kneel, push, and pull objects.
Demonstrate neck range of motion within normal limits (flexion and extension 60°, lateral flexion 40° and rotation 70°).
Lift objects of various dimensions and weights. Up to 100 pounds.
Ability to operate hand controls with both hands.
Ability to operate foot pedals with both feet.
Ability to perform sustained overhead reaching.
Ability to use vibration tools.
Ability to tolerate working outdoors in all environmental temperatures and weather.
Ability to work in areas with the potential for high noise levels.
Ability to tolerate working at heights up to 9 feet.
Regular and predictable attendance. Able to work various times during day, night, or weekend hours, at various locations. Able to work overtime on a regular basis.
