The New Star Family Justice Center AMFT / ASW Therapist, under the direction of the Executive Director, will provide individual, group and family counseling to victims of domestic violence. With the launch of Project Camp HOPE, this position also offers an exciting opportunity to deliver mental health services to teens. This is paid position with paid supervision towards licensure hours. Must have good communication skills and work as part of our team. Bilingual highly preferred. RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide individual, group and family counseling
· Facilitate the 10-wk Domestic Violence Education Classes
· Maintain activity reports and assist in completion of monthly grant requirements
· Participate in scheduled staff meetings; be open to receive on-going trainings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Ability to interact well with diverse persons, organizations, and groups.
Knowledge of social/cultural dynamics of domestic violence and sexual assault victimization
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel. PowerPoint, Outlook and other management systems; comfortable using zoom and other video conferencing applications
Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
Bilingual Spanish/Arabic/Urdu/Hindi highly preferred
EDUCATION AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
Masters’ Degree in Behavioral Science. One-year work experience preferred. Must complete the 40-Hrs victim advocate training within first 2 months of employment and secure Victim Service Provider certification. Must be registered with BBS.
