    Job Description

    The Expeditionary Contingency Medical Material (ECMM) program is designed to provide medical logistics and biomedical equipment repair services at designated locations while additionally providing adequate on-site support to meet requirements for locations determined to not require full-time staffing. The person in this position will represent International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. and provide services outlined below:

    International SOS Government Medical Services, Inc. is looking for an individual who is an experienced Biomedical Equipment Technician to ensure the proper installation, maintenance, and repair of biomedical equipment used in medical facilities, thereby guaranteeing the safety and effectiveness of healthcare delivery. This position involves conducting routine inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with medical staff to optimize the performance of medical devices and equipment in support of military health operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain and execute all Maintenance and Healthcare Technology Management (HTM) program requirements to support the assigned assemblages.
    • Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair all assigned equipment, both medical and non-medical, in accordance with most recent DAF, USAF/DoD guidance, industry standards, and manufacturer guidance.
    • Required maintenance actions shall be taken within the assigned equipment’s due date month to ensure the highest level of readiness.
    • Maintain and update MMIS, DMLSS and physical records in accordance with most recent guidance, taking all necessary actions to meet established timelines outlined in guidance to return unserviceable equipment items to a ready state including but not limited to performing acceptance work orders, and submitting repair parts requests.
    • Coordinate funds requests, and any site required actions for non-warranty-covered work.
    • Arrange for the preventative maintenance and repair of equipment assets that are not within local capabilities after ensuring the funding is first approved by the Government.
    • Manage medical equipment recalls MMIS within the timelines established by guidance.
    • Use established monthly reporting methods and reports available to report status to Program Manager. Any deviation from reporting tools shall be approved by the Program Manager and ECCM COR.
    • Notify the Program Manager of any damaged or missing equipment.
    • Follow manufacture, USAF and, local disposition guidelines when determining equipment end of life actions.
    • Ensure availability and control of spare parts, test equipment and tools.
    • Comply with local safety program requirements per each site location.
    • Abide by all established security regulations and OPSEC procedures and shall be subject to random and unannounced security checks.

  • Qualifications

    Qualifications

    Basic Requirements/Certifications:

    • 10 years of field experience (minimum of four years as a level III BMET) in managing: initial inspections, calibrations, diagnostics, maintenance, life cycle management, repair of medical equipment, equipment acquisition, and safety within OEM guidance and local/state/federal regulations.
    • Must have National Certification from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and be renewed every 3 years at contracted vendor expense.

    Education Required:

    • An accredited bachelor's degree is desired but may not be required if the minimum field experience requirement is met.
    • Must have graduated from the DoD Biomedical Maintenance Course or an accredited civilian Biomedical Maintenance Course.
    • Must have National Certification from the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) and be renewed every 3 years at contracted vendor expense.
    • Must have graduated from the Planmeca digital dental course no later than 12 months of contract award.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
    • Work involves sitting and standing for prolonged periods of time.
    • May require bending, stooping and lifting up to 15 lbs.

    Other Special Qualifications:

    • FINAL Top Security Clearance is required.
    • Required to travel to support project locations.
    • Valid US Passport with at least 18 months before expiration date.

    Pay range is based on several factors and may vary in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits. Final salary and offer will be determined by the applicant’s background, experience, skills, internal equity, and alignment with geographical market data.
