JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Our Veterinary Receptionist / Assistant Position is an integral part of the AADC team and works diligently to ensure a positive experience for our clients and patients both over the phone and when in our office.

VETERINARY RECEPTIONIST RESPONSIBILITIES include answering our multi-line phone system, filtering and relaying phone calls, creating patient records, scheduling patient exams, scanning documents,  processing payments, managing fax and emails, working directly with clients, and assisting with other reception and administrative duties. 

VETERINARY ASSISTANT RESPONSIBILITIES include helping with patient restraint, assisting in patient exams, assisting in procedures, assisting with prescription refills, maintaining patient medical records, maintaining hospital cleanliness, working directly with clients, and ensuring exceptional client service from start to finish.

REQUIREMENTS OF POSITION

• EXPERIENCE IN A VETERINARY SETTING
• EXPERIENCE HANDLING ANIMALS INCLUDING RESTRAINT
• CUSTOMER SERVICE INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE 
• Ideal but not necessary experience with venipuncture, catheter placement, and assisting with veterinary procedures
• High School Diploma or GED

JOB STATUS & BENEFITS

This position is full-time, with potential for full time for a fully qualified candidate, and includes generous benefits including Paid Time Off (PTO), Medical Insurance, a CE and scrub allowance, and Employee Assistance Program (EAP).

Dr. Jackie Campbell first opened our practice in 2010 and we are excited to be celebrating our 10th year as a privately owned specialty practice!  Recently, we welcomed another specialist to our growing team, Dr. Jennifer Petersen!  We strive to improve the quality of life for pets and bring comfort to pet parents by utilizing our expertise in veterinary dermatology, and providing exceptional follow up care with pet parents and their family veterinarian.  We are the only Veterinary Allergy and Dermatology practice in Southern Colorado and are a proud to be part of the Veterinary Specialty Center (VSC), Southern Colorado's premier referral hospital encompassing the specialty practices of internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, dentistry, allergy and dermatology, orthopedic surgery, and 24-hour emergency services in a warm and welcoming environment.
