    WHAT YOU'LL DO: 

    • Partner with buying, planning, and merchandising to curate an assortment across all categories and global channels, including Ecommerce, Retail, and Wholesale that that fuels our growing business
    • Create and execute category and SKU-based assortment and merchandising plans
    • Recommend initial buys, manage reorders, and identify slow selling styles to ensure productive inventory
    • Identify new product and trend opportunities and partner with our internal/external design partners to develop new products
    • Attend, prepare, and contribute to weekly business meetings 
    • Initiate analysis of business trends to ensure optimum inventory positions are maintained on a style level and category level
    • Supports team with day-to-day activities and projects
    • Generate, analyze, and distribute weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
    • Drive seasonal product planning by finding and leveraging trends in color, prints/patterns, and lifestyles
    • Conduct weekly and quarterly business reviews to track and analyze merchandising results
    • Monitor and use merchandising analysis and site analytics data to drive decisions
    • Provide basic analysis of key business data and reporting, as directed by Buyer, including  category performance, regional, selling, and size selling to drive business.
    • Partner with Assistant Buyer and Production team regarding ship status, shortages and overages.
    • Administrative functions; Purchase Order (PO) maintenance. Management of receipt flow.
    • Create and run specialized reports as necessary
    • Manage daily merchandising responsibilities including – updating the assortment sheets, monitoring ETAs for styles launching in upcoming weeks, updating launch schedules based on ETA movements, etc 
    • Own data entry and maintenance like PO entry, PO updates and price updates in NetSuite.

    PREFERRED SKILLS: 

    • Minimum 3 years experience as an Assistant Buyer and 1 year experience as an Associate Buyer at a fashion retailer
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (Vlookups, Pivots, Index Match) required for reporting and data formatting. Must be comfortable with handling large excel spreadsheets and datasets
    • Detail Oriented, & Hard Worker
    • Sense of fashion trends and market knowledge
    • Prior experience in fashion industry preferred or retail experience
    • Strong attention to detail with excellent follow-up capabilities
    • Ability to effectively communicate, written and orally, with all levels of employees
    • Excellent time-management skills
    • General knowledge of retail analysis, including return on investments, gross margin, initial markup, etc. is essential
    • Ability to complete tasks timely and exceeding time management skills
    • Able to prioritize workload, troubleshoot problems, and offer solutions
    • Experience with NetSuite a plus 
    • Excellent writing and analytical skills
    • Self-starter who can manage multiple priorities at once and learn new things with little oversight
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Must be task driven and pro-active when it comes to executing tasks
    • Retail experience preferred
    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience required
