A Community Integrated Specialist (CIS-1) is a member of an interdisciplinary team with Creative Behavioral Solutions.
A CIS-1 provides a therapeutic environment for our high need behavioral residents who may need a 24 hour, more intense staffing pattern. Our CIS staff work with our residents to provide caregiving as well as leads community integration, activities and daily living skills. CIS-1s assists our residents in their individualized care plan. CIS-1s works closely with our interdisciplinary team to their needs and wants, while preserving their dignity and integrity.
The focus of our residential caregiving services is to promote a healthy independent lifestyle for our member while also providing safely, protection, independence, quality of life and community involvement. ANS' residential caregiving services are very flexible and easily modified to accommodate the changing abilities, interests, choices and needs of the individual.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO):
- Assist residents with care, personal cares, supervision and safely, in their homes and individualized service plan (ISP).
- Assist in supportive friendship role in relations to resident's daily living skills and community life.
- Assist residents in learning independent living skills, which are defined in the individuals ISP. (ie. laundry, housekeeping, personal hygiene, cooking and time and money management) As well as encouraging the management of symptoms, through support services and education.
- Medical management including but not limited to vital monitoring as required by physicians and administering medications recording medication on medication logs and monitor consumer medication adherence.
- Complete each Medication Administration Record Sheets (MARS) daily before the end of each shift.
- Coordinate all resident's transportation needs for: Medical visits and opportunities for community engagement
- Supervise and manage the behavior of the resident's and provide the appropriate behavioral interventions and support. Report progress to concerned authorized parties.
- Implement therapeutic activities and facilitate the development of independent living skills. MUST be actively involved and engaged with resident while completing programs. (ie. if the resident goes swimming so does staff)
- Coordinate and facilitate meaningful in home/leisure time activities.
- Complete all required documentation.
- Communicate all significant changes in client status to staff.
- Oversee the cleanliness of the house, house jobs and cooking duties as required. Ensuring that nutritious meals are planned, prepared and served in the home.
- Report immediately to supervisory staff any needed repairs or safety concerns.
- Serve as the resident's advocate and assume other related responsibilities as outlined by management.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Be able to perform each essential duties. H.S diploma or GED, 18 years old or higher, CBRF Certification is helpful but not required. Successfully complete all paid training, in class, in home and via other means of transmission. Have a valid Driver's License and acceptable driving record. Be able to easily accept change. Be approachable and be able to maintain composure. Poses customer focus, high levels of ethics, integrity, listening skills and personal accountability for your actions and words. Be able to effectively manage time and maintain an high level of language skill, trust and respectability.
COMPENSATION:
- Wages START UP TO $14/ HOUR depending on your willingness to work alternating weekends or all weekends, your driving record, and other qualifications, experience and certifications. + PERKS
- $500 SIGN-ON BONUS
- OVERTIME (OVER 40 HOURS/WEEK) IS PAID TIME AND HALF.
