    Job Description

    OVERVIEW: 

    The Chemical and Biological Defense Program (CBDP) Acquisition Program Analyst provides support to the Office of the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Chemical and Biological Defense (ODASD(CBD)) in the oversight of the CBDP. In this position, the CBDP Acquisition Program Analyst provides subject matter expertise, advice, and recommendations to assist the ODASD(CBD) in assessing and supporting the whole-of the CBDP. The analyst will provide senior-level support to the ODASD(CBD) in the oversight of the CBDP’s medical and physical acquisition programs and will ensure all programs have viable acquisition strategies, are on track, and are utilizing appropriate metrics. 

    SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

    • Active TOP SECRET//SCI clearance is required;
    • Strong acquisition experience and an understanding of DoD acquisition decision-making processes;
    • Program management experience is required;
    • Defense acquisition professional is desired;
    • Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) certification in Acquisitions, Program Management and/or Systems Planning, Research, Development and Engineering is desired;
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is desired;
    • Experience working with, briefing, and engaging General Officer/Flag Officer/SES-level personnel;
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced office with a high operational tempo;
    • Ability to work independently with limited or ambiguous information;
    • Ability to lead disparate teams and build coalitions within a community of interest;
    • Possess strong communication skills, both written and oral;
    • Organization and attention to detail; and
    • Ability to travel to meetings in the National Capitol Region and occasional CONUS travel.

    EDUCATION & YEARS OF EXPERIENCE:

    Must have a minimum of a bachelor's degree or a minimum of 10 years chemical or biological defense experience.
