Overview:
Alpha AOG technicians work a variety of fleet types in a variety of locations. Most of our work is performed in teams with crews taking a fully stocked mobile repair unit to a job and working it through to completion. Once on site, mechanics communicate with our customers maintenance controllers, troubleshoot, and repair the issue. We work on everything from simple service checks and departure supports to complex discrepancies and detailed inspections. Most of our work is performed out of TEB/MMU/HPN but we do travel to other airports withing a 75 mile radius on regular occasion.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot technical discrepancies and execute repair of company aircraft
Accomplish aircraft inspections per aircraft maintenance manual
Inspect and assist in maintenance of company equipment and tooling
Work as a member of a team to complete repairs
Follow safety measures, good shop practices and cleanliness standards
Communicate discrepancies to Maintenance Control department found during inspections and follow directions to troubleshoot and repair faulty conditions
Ensure that all aircraft documentation is completed accurately per company and FAA procedures prior to aircraft departure
Organize daily tasks and coordinate inspections/repair of aircraft
Coordinate materials and tooling requirements for projected work for entire shift

Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Valid Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant Certificate
Must be able to pass FAA drug test
Must be able to pass background check
Skills:
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Strong analytical, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft software and in use of digital manuals
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, schematics and technical orders
Proficient in use of electronic test equipment, voltage or amperage measuring, recording devices and navigation troubleshooting equipment
Strong work ethic and organizational skills
Must be able to work in variable weather conditions
Ability to lift parts and equipment
Able to work rotating schedules to include weekends, nights and holidays
Schedule:
· Your schedule will alternate weekly between Sunday through Wednesday and Sunday through Tuesday split shifts. (4 on, 3 off, 3 on, 4 off).
· Technicians are “on call” without fixed hours.
Compensation:
· Pay will be commensurate with experience ranging from $45 per hour to $65 per hour.
· All technicians will be compensated for a minimum of 80 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks) regardless of hours worked with overtime paid at 1.5X your hourly rate.

o Techs will be granted 80 hours (10 days) of PTO per year.
o On their second anniversary, PTO accrual will increase to 96 hours per year (12 days).
o On their third work anniversary, PTO accrual will increase to 128 hours per year (16 days)
o Up to 40 hours of PTO can be rolled over to following years.
o Shift trading is permitted with supervisor approval.
