    AOTMP® is looking for a go-getter, independent and creative writer to join our Content Development Team in our Marketing department. The Content Development Specialist will play a critical role in developing thought-leading materials to drive brand awareness, traffic, engagement, and leads that support our demand generation and business development groups. In both quality and quantity, this role requires a person with exceptional writing skills.

    As an important member of the corporate marketing team, you will have ample opportunities to collaborate with internal and external subject matter experts, strategically shaping their insights into an array of effective B2B content types (e.g., white papers, eBooks, blog posts, video scripts, email, social media, event support, etc.) The content you help create will be used to expand our digital footprint in a consistent and conversational brand voice.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Research and write original content that engages and educates an identified audience (in formats including ePubs, white papers, case studies, blogs, and email)
    • Collaborate with business leaders to develop content ideas based on business priorities, opportunities, and direction
    • Proofread/edit content to ensure it is consistent in terms of style/voice and SEO best practices
    • Interview internal and external subject matter experts
    • Drive multiple, simultaneous content-related projects in a results-focused environment
    • Identify and refine themes for packaging content and determining the format and distribution method for all marketing channels
    • Assist in campaign performance metrics and ROI reporting
    • Obtain all necessary business and compliance approvals

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, marketing, or journalism OR 2-5 years of experience in a marketing agency or corporate marketing department doing communications and/or public relations
    • 2-5 years of professional work experience in the marketing/communications field
    • Strong writing skills and ability to craft messages appropriate for different media (including producing digital and print content); samples will be requested
    • Strong skills in editing and proofreading
    • Experience in online research methods
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office products and WordPress
    • Capacity to multi-task, prioritize and move between multiple projects and deliverables
    • Skilled at communicating with individuals at multiple levels within an organization
    • A working knowledge of SEO best practices
    • Adept at utilizing AP style for all writing materials

    ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

    • If your application is considered, you will be required to produce a writing sample (similar to an eBook or some other format that is more than 2 pages). Access to a larger digital portfolio may be submitted in lieu of a writing sample.
    • You will be required to pass a basic proofreading test.
