    Position Summary:

    We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AP/AR Accountant to join our growing property management team. This role is responsible for managing the full-cycle accounts payable and accounts receivable functions across a portfolio of manufactured housing communities. The ideal candidate will have strong transactional accounting experience, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Process and manage full-cycle accounts payable, including invoice coding, approvals, and payment processing.
    • Manage accounts receivable, including tenant billing, rent collections, and posting of receipts.
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding receivables, including delinquency tracking and coordination with property management teams.
    • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
    • Maintain accurate records of all AP/AR transactions and supporting documentation.
    • Assist with monthly close processes, including preparation of AP/AR aging reports and related reconciliations.
    • Perform bank and cash reconciliations related to collections and disbursements.
    • Ensure proper coding of expenses and income in accordance with company policies and U.S. GAAP.
    • Coordinate with property managers to ensure accurate resident ledgers and billing adjustments.
    • Manage annual 1099 reporting process.
    • Support year-end audit requests related to AP/AR transactions.
    • Assist with implementation and improvement of AP/AR processes and internal controls.
    • Respond to vendor and resident inquiries in a professional and timely manner.
    • Ad-hoc projects as requested.

    Skills & Qualifications:

    • 3+ years of experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
    • Experience in real estate, property management, or manufactured housing preferred.
    • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
    • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and financial processes.
    • Experience with high-volume transaction processing.
    • Proficiency with Yardi or similar property management/accounting software preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple responsibilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
    • Team player with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
    • Customer service oriented with a “can do” attitude.

    Working Conditions:

    • No travel.
    • 2–3 days on-site per week; remaining days remote
