    Job Description

    ** WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:**

    As our AP Accounting Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind our Accounts Payable operations—leading a seasoned and capable team while championing process improvements to support a fast-growing, multi-state organization.

    You’ll oversee the day-to-day functions of a high-volume AP department (processing over 65-70K invoices annually ), mentor a dedicated team (including 6 AP Specialists, a Lease Administrator, and an AP Supervisor), and play a critical role in the successful implementation of our new ERP system.

    • Lead and mentor the accounts payable team, ensuring timely and accurate invoice processing.
    • Oversee ledger entries, account reconciliations, and A/P data systems.
    • Partner with the Controller to improve workflows and implement process enhancements across 15 states.
    • Maintain strong vendor relationships and handle audit/government inquiries.
    • Assist with financial forecasts, compliance reporting, financial statement preparation, and in-depth financial analysis.
    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring compliance, 1099 processing, lease payments, and audit support.
    • Oversee lease administration (Yardi) and supervise the Lease Administrator to drive operational improvements.
    • Lead and contribute to cross-functional initiatives and special projects.
  • Qualifications

    ** Must Have:**

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
    • 5+ years of AP (Accounts Payable) experience or accounting experience
    • Strong financial ERP systems experience and Excel Mastery

    Nice To Have:

    • Experience with Workday, GreatPlains (GP) and/or Yardi
    • Exposure to acquisitions or M&A Environment
    • 2+ years of team leadership experience

    • Ability to lead cross-functional projects (e.g., ERP transitions, acquisition integrations).
    • Comfortable navigating organizational growth and shifting priorities.
