Job Summary

We are seeking a part time AP Biology Instructor to join our team! As an Instructor, you will be teaching an AP Biology class in a small group setting or one-on-one using an online software Zoom or similar, following the agreed-upon class schedule, and responding to student questions or issues in a timely manner. You will also be assigning homework to the students for them to review or selfstudy selected materials, grading homework and providing feedback to help students understand their course materials, address upcoming concerns for students, and ensure each student has the tools they need to succeed. The ideal candidate has a background in Biology and Education, with teaching experience, has strong communication skills, and can cultivate a positive learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

Maintain course schedule and timelines

Assign and grade homework and provide constructive feedback to students

Facilitate classroom discussions

Answer student questions, helping students work through problems and find solutions

Cultivate a positive learning environment for students

Qualifications

Previous experience in a teaching position desired

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

The ability to multitask, and shift priorities as needed

Familiarity with or willing to figure out online teaching platforms and grading systems
