    ROLE: Sales Development Representative – Cable and Digital Publishing Team

    RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Outbound prospecting - research and contact potential clients through cold calls, emails, and social touch points
    • Manually follow up with clients on aging opportunities
    • Quote clients based on internal rate card policies and procedures
    • Review quote request correspondence to determine legal language is sufficient and matches previously agreed upon language and rights
    • Complete requested vendor forms, W-9's, and payment information
    • Assist finance with overdue invoice follow-ups
    • Enter music searches, lyric requests, re-record and stem requests
    • Provide tutorials for the onboarding of new clients/users
    • Work with Account Executives to identify and proactively seek new business opportunities in the market
    • Build custom playlists to proactively send prospective clients, matching the needs of their productions
    • Qualify leads from marketing campaigns to convert them into sales opportunities
    • Have a consultative approach to identify client needs and suggest appropriate products/services
    • Set up client meetings or calls between prospective clients and APM Account Executives
    • Present product demos that speak to a client's business objectives
    • Enter all data and activity in Salesforce
    • Stay up-to-date with industry / competitive landscape / new product features /services /pricing
    • Subscribe to virtual trade publications and keep an eye out for news and opportunities relating to current accounts, or potential prospects.

    REQUIREMENTS

    • 1-3 years' experience in sales prospecting or account development role
    • Ability to multi-task administrative tasks
    • Experience with CRM software (e.g. Salesforce)
    • Knowledge of and passion for music
    • Technically savvy
    • Understanding of sales performance metrics
    • Excellent communication (both written and verbal) and negotiation skills
    • Comfortable making outbound calls to customers
