    Founded in 1983 as a joint venture between Sony/ATV and Universal, APM Music is the recognized leader in the production music industry. Offering a comprehensive collection of original music, APM Music provides media producers and content creators with access to nearly 1 million high-caliber tracks specifically for use in film, television, radio, podcast, advertising, gaming, social and new media productions.

    THE ROLE

    APM is seeking a passionate Data Analyst to be part of APM's Finance Team to focus on working with multiple large data sets to identify discrepancies, surface trends, deliver actionable insights and identify missed licenses and revenues.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyzing and cross-referencing large data sets to identify missed licenses and payments
    • Building data models, data visualizations, and reports utilizing dashboards trends, cohort and other KPI analyses to surface insights and recommend areas of improvement and focus for clients and internal teams
    • Study sales activities and conversion funnels to recommend potential areas of activation and revenue optimization
    • Assist in creating data cleanliness program while recommending opportunities for improving data quality
    • Develop data best practices and documentation to help streamline data operations
    • Work with technology to recommend improvements to our data architecture, data storage and data visualization tools
    • Assist in creating a company-wide data cleanliness program, make recommendations for improving data quality, and develop data best practices

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • BS degree in science or engineering fields and 2+ years of experience working data analysis, visualization, and reporting.
    • Experience diving into analytical problems and synthesizing disparate data sources is required.
    • Strong proficiency in SQL is a must, proficiency with data manipulation, python or other programming languages a plus
    • Advanced knowledge of Excel for data compilation, analysis, visualization, automation
    • Experience using data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Domo, etc.
    • Comfort and experience with large data sets
    • Impeccable attention to detail and passion for problem-solving
    • Ability to work independently and time manage multiple sensitive and high profile initiatives
    • Excellent written, verbal, and professional communication skills including the ability to explain and present complex concepts in a clear, concise, and actionable way
    • Self-motivated, flexible, able to operate under changing priorities and/or tight timelines and prioritize multiple important projects
    • Experience in the data, revenue sources and metrics of music such as sync, performance revenues and audio detection systems is a plus
    • Understanding of performing rights organization data (PRO's) is a plus
    • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud is a plus
