    APR Consulting, Inc. has been engaged to identify a HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

     

    LOCATION: HILLSBORO, OR 97123

    POSITION: HUMAN RESOURCES GENERALIST

    PAY RATE: $31.87/HR

    DURATION: 17 WEEKS

    SHIFT: M – F (8 HOURS), 7:30 AM OR 8:30 AM – 4:30 OR 5:30 PM

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The HR Generalist performs moderately complex activities in support of the human resources function. Areas of expertise could include: benefits, compliance, and HRIS.

    • Responsible for employee records maintenance and documentation compliance for legal and hospital credentialing reasons.
    • Project manages HR policy reviews and compliance audits including with DNV and other governmental bodies.
    • Acts as the administrator for our policy management system for HR.
    • Manages the data input and processing of information into the HRIS systems
    • Processes all current employment status transactions biweekly, such as terms, transfers, benefit changes.
    • Processing electronic personnel action submittals, coordinating terminations with Payroll, running ad hoc HRIS reports, liaison with ITG and manages HRIS system operations and improvements.
    • Triages employee relations concerns and does intake conversations for HRBP team.
    • Manages and maintains HR employee records to be in compliance with legal and hospital certifying body standards.
    • Assists with handling Employment Verification calls, letters & faxes and forwards earnings-related requests to the Benefits Specialist.
    • Manages the policy tool for HR and project manages the HR team to keep policies up to date.
    • Identifies areas where process improvements are needed and works with the HR team to implement, or assist with implementing, new processes or procedures.
    • Streamlining of manual work and helps to create sustainable automation within the HR department and its systems.
    • Maintains confidentiality of employee information flowing throughout the Human Resources department.
    • Uses project management skills to schedule, plan and implement various projects.
    • Performed occasionally but critical to successful performance of the job:
    • Produces misc. reports from the HRIS, as needed.
    • HRIS training, support, and troubleshooting assistance.
    • Audits New Employee HRIS information and acts as a backup for new hire set up in the HRIS system.
    • Assists the benefits team with duties related to benefit enrollment, changes, and notification of changes to appropriate benefits vendors.
    • Available as potential backup for presenting benefits information during new hire orientation sessions as well as with newly benefits eligible employees as needed.

     

    REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Minimum three (3) years of experience in Human Resources or related field
    • Demonstrates excellent customer service and organizational skills
    • Builds relationships across all levels and departments and problem solves without direct supervision.
    • Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines under pressure with many interruptions.
    • Demonstrates ability to work effectively across cultures and other differences.
    • Uses effective communication skills in written or verbal interactions

     

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field of study.
    • Working knowledge and experience with HRIS.
    • Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
    • Professional Human Resources (PHR) certification.
    • Preference for proficiency with MS4/AS400 (used as HR database), iCIMS (applicant tracking system), PlanSource (online benefits enrollment), Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, MCN policy management system and other HR department systems.
    • Bilingual skills a plus.

     

    At a minimum, a 7-year background check, education verification, employment verification, and drug screen will be conducted upon hire. Your suitability for employment is contingent upon successfully passing these required pre-employment screenings.
