    We are looking for Staff Accountant to support our Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting.

    TITLE: Staff Accountant

    REPORTS TO: Sr. Director of Finance & Accounting

    LOCATION: Los Angeles, CA

    Key Responsibilities

    Accounting

    Accounts payable and accounts receivable

    Income tracking for open AR

    Monthly revenue statement preparation and reconciliation

    Month-end close: bank reconciliation, journal entries, preparation of supporting schedules, balance sheet reconciliation

    Assist with preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements

    1099 processing

    Handle ad hoc requests and projects

    Assist with tax preparation and partner with outside tax accountant to meet annual deliverables

    Royalties

    Review royalty terms of artist and third-party agreements and verify that the terms have been properly set up within the Royalties System

    Responsible for all royalties processing which includes ensuring the accuracy of reporting and the prompt processing of monies both payable and receivable

    Reconcile various third-party liability account balances on the Royalty Ledger to the General Ledger

    Clear suspense and pending/unmatched items within the Royalties System

    Prepare accurate and timely royalty statements that comply with contractual obligations and ensure that all costs, artist advances, and royalty calculations are valid

    Requirements

    3-5 years of accounting and/or bookkeeping experience

    CPA preferred

    Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite, including strong Excel skills

    Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills

    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills

    Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

    Compensation

    $80k - $100k

    The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the qualification of the individual applicant, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, and certifications or other professional licenses held.
