We are immediately hiring for a FIELD SALES PROFESSIONAL, AS PART OF OUR HOUSTON METRO TEAM, WITHA PREFERRED HOME OFFICE BASE OF HOUSTON.
The successful individual will have a proven track record of developing and delivering new sales business opportunities, with installers, contractors, GCs, architects and ARDEX distributor partners. You will be a proficient business developer with exceptional customer follow up, lead generation experience, and the ability to close the sale. You will have a passion for the industry and enjoy delivering exceptional solutions to new and existing customers, through expert product advice, hands on product demonstrations, and product guidance.
Approximately 50% territory travel including some overnight. Territory to cover: Southeast Texas - South of Rt.84 and East of 77 to include Houston, Beaumont, Victoria and Lake Charles. Louisiana - Alexandria and all points South, excluding Caddo, Bossier counties and Shreveport.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Proactively develop and grow sales of ARDEX and Henry products across assigned territory
Successfully launch and promote new products through confident product demonstrations, presentations, professional product displays and market blitzes
Develop solid working relationships with distributors, specialist and general contractors, architects and key business influencers
Make technical recommendations liaising with the technical team for resources and solutions
Conduct contractor clinics and implement loyalty programs such as LME (LevelMaster Elite) and SystemOne
Develop product specifications through architectural communities
Provide unmatched level of field service and support through job start assistance, assistance with preparing bids, and distributor and installer training
Generate and action leads through jobsite visits, lead generation services, cold calls etc. and maintain/update current Lead Trackers
Develop and implement field action plans, sales strategies that will deliver territory goals
Collaborate and communicate effectively, professionally, and proactively with all areas of the business including other Territory Sales Professionals, Architectural Team, Technical Team, Marketing and Customer Support
Minimum 5 years outside sales experience and / or minimum 5 years knowledge of building materials industries is required.
Knowledge of flooring installation systems is highly desirable
Must be able to confidently and professionally conduct product presentations and demonstrations
Must be able to operate non power and power tools. Demonstrates good mechanical or hands-on skills to meet the needs of intensive and physically demanding field support and service
Technically proficient as demonstrated by passing ARDEX Technical and Field Proficiency tests annually (approximately two per year)
Familiar with architectural specifications and construction design elements
