Halfaker has an opening for a TECHNICAL WRITER to join our talented, dynamic team. The key responsibilities for this position include:
- Coordinate content creation across multiple documents continuously with competing deadlines
- Perform quality reviews and peer reviews across technical and non-technical documents and evaluate document quality based on accuracy, substance, and quality of written content
- Create narrative content for proposal sections and other assignments from scratch based off of graphics and/or using "SME interviews" to author prose and validate it with technical system engineers, architects, and other SMEs
- Use Halfaker style guides and know which documents to apply to which style guide
- Assist with the development of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Documents to standardize the approach that the team uses to create agendas, meeting minutes, and incrementally create, validate, update, and review document content; integrate these new SOPs with existing Halfaker document quality standards and processes
Required Skills
- Ability and interest in acquiring advanced MS Word skills/proficiency level
- Ability to take initiative and ownership of tasks/projects/writing projects
- Excellent writing skills

- Superior attention to detail
Required Experience
- 2-3 years of work experience required
- Proven writing background required
