Experienced Configuration/Data Management (CDM) professional proficient in performing the configuration and data management functions for the Payload Facilities (IPF) organization at NASA Marshall Space Flight Center (MSFC). This position will perform all configuration and data management functions for several projects under the IPF umbrella. The position requires expertise in all five functions of Configuration Management: Planning, Identification, Change Management, Status Accounting and Audits/Verification. Successful implementation requires initiative and flexibility to meet program milestones as well as an understanding of the principals of CDM and the ability to advise the project on the implementation of CM and DM processes to meet NASA/MSFC requirements. The ability to understand the change management process and how to manage the technical baseline are key characteristics of the Secretariat position. The successful candidate will be able to take a proactive approach in working with project personnel to implement the required processes utilizing the tools provided.
