Our laboratory works with pharmaceutical companies, compounding and hospital pharmacies, drug manufacturers, and raw material suppliers bringing excellence to pharmaceutical sciences and making pharmaceuticals safer.  This position is a fantastic stepping-stone and a way to gain experience in the interesting world of the pharmaceutical industry.  This position is responsible performing quality control testing on pharmaceutical products.

    WORK SCHEDULE: Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.

    WORK RESTRICTIONS:  Because of vital nature of this work, we do not allow medical marijuana cards and we do random drug testing on all of our employees.

    This position is responsible for testing pharmaceutical and medical product samples.  The main duties will include using a particle counting instrument and/or microscope.  Testing will be performed with minimal supervision once full trained.  Maintaining the cleanliness of the laboratory and the organization and/or ordering of supplies may be required a necessary.  Basic knowledge of commonly used laboratory concepts, practices, procedures and instrumentation would be beneficial in this role.  

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS...

    • Perform laboratory testing and record results 
    • Adhere to Quality Management System processes
    • Maintain work list such that samples are tested within completion requirements.
    • Perform peer review of laboratory notebooks
    • Use a personal computer including word processing, spreadsheets, email and database applications

    POSITION REQUIREMENTS...

    • High School diploma with 2+ years working experience OR
    • Associate degree in chemistry or related science field 
    • Experience with microscopes preferred
    • Attention to detail

    WORK ENVIRONMENT...

    This job operates in a laboratory environment.  

    PHYSICAL DEMANDS...

    This position may require sitting for prolong periods of time; dexterity in fingers and hands to perform complex and precise manipulations; frequent exposure to noise levels up to 80 decibels; see in the normal visual range including the ability to distinguish colors and shades; ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs; and hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.

    An excellent opportunity for someone who has worked as a Pharmacy Technician, or has done retail work and who prefers to be up and moving around as opposed to sitting at a desk all day.
