ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER
ARMA Development Consultants is looking for an Assistant Project Manager to join a dynamic team on exciting projects throughout the NYC metro area. This is an opportunity to grow your career with a Project Management/Owner’s Representative company that is a leader in our field.
ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Assist project managers in all project tasks
· Manage project documentation and lead project team communication
· Attend meetings and manage meeting minutes
· Provide project oversight and produce client reports
· Review design drawings and specifications
· Track permitting process and assist in its procurement
· Identify the required scopes of work to complete the project
· Compose project work scope
· Prepare and distribute bid packages to qualified vendors and conduct pre-bid meetings
· Qualify bids and bidders, and make selections
· Monitor and direct project team strategies
· Coordinate team activities
· Critical review and management of project schedules and logistics
· Cost controls and budget tracking
· Regularly monitor field operations through site visits and inspections
· Monitor and advise on job safety protocols
· Acts as liaison between all project team members and clients
ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:
· 3+ years work experience
· On-Site Project Experience
· Microsoft 365 suite especially Excel and Word. MS Project is a plus
· Technology proficient, with the ability to adapt to new innovations and processes
· Flexible and adaptable team player
· Experience reading project documents and good understanding of project lifecycle
· Time management and organizational skills
· Communication, negotiation, and client relationship skills
· Basic knowledge of DOB and navigation of associated sites
· Reading and creating project Schedules
· Estimating
· Knowledge of NYC construction means and methods (out of the ground and renovations)
· Multi-tasking
· Critical thinking and problem solving
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATES
· Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or equivalent/applicable degree
· OSHA 40-hour certificate preferred, but not required
