    OverviewART of Dallas / Fort Worth, is a premier art restoration company in the Dallas / Fort Worth area. Due to our growth, we are adding to our team and currently seeking a talented person to manage the packing, transportation, and installation of art. A work history with art handling companies and installing at customer sites is mandatory. The ART Logistics Technician will ensure the artwork is managed in a professional manner so it arrives to each location undamaged. Since this position can also be involved in art restoration, the ideal candidate would have a degree in Fine Arts and a background in painting, but this is not mandatory.

    Key Responsibilities

    Enter locations (some affected by water and fire) to pick up or deliver artwork

    Interact with art owners and all stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner and present business card on introduction.

    Pack and handle artwork in a professional manner so that it arrives to each location undamaged

    Identify if crating is required and coordinate to have this done.

    Identifies crew size for any activity and coordinates with Director of Restoration to ensure the personnel is available.

    Contacts art owners or contractors prior to pick-up or delivery to alert them of expected time of arrival (within one-hour range)

    After pick-up, place items requiring deodorizing in hydroxyl room within 24 hours of pick-up

    Identify all wet art that requires immediate mitigation. Ensures these items are addressed ASAP. Communicate which items need attention to Director of Restoration.

    Provide friendly, quality professional service to clients and customers

    Professionally install artwork in a variety of locations

    Drive company van, pickups, or box trucks to safely deliver art

    Review all paperwork to ensure complete and accurate deliveries

    Communicate with Office and customers via cell phone timely information concerning pick-ups and deliveries

    Responsible for warehouse area and all remote storage sites, Maintain safe, clean and organized storage spaces

    Ensure all equipment and vehicles are in proper working condition

    Order supplies and manages inventory as needed to effect a status of readiness for art handling

    Operate all necessary equipment in a safe manner, e.g., lift, dollies, van, etc.

    On Site Responsibilities

    Ensure ART of DFW operational and personnel policies are observed while conducting tasks.

    Comply with and enforce adherence to safety protocol. The safety of ART of DFW personnel is foremost. Supervisor has the authority to stop any task that creates an unsafe work environment

    On site management of staff to convey a safe, caring and quality approach to art handling

    Ensure negative verbal comments and disruptive actions by staff are immediately addressed. This type of behavior reflects poorly on us, our contractors and carriers. Promptly advise management of any incidents.

    Complete required paperwork such as Certificates of Satisfaction, Inventory lists, iPad centric reports and other critical paperwork with a high attention to detail

    Create an excellent customer service experience

    Key Requirements

    Must be willing and capable to work a flexible schedule. Most work will be from 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday but nights, weekends and overnight stay may be needed

    Knowledge of proper and safe fine art installation, packing and transportation techniques

    Must be able to stand for long periods of time

    Required to possess a valid Texas driver license and a clean driving record at the time and duration of employment.

    Must be able to lift 50-60 lbs.

    Excellent Customer Service skills, providing "white glove" service to our clients.

    Exhibit a professional, neat, and clean appearance that represents the ART brand.

    Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; positive attitude

    The ideal ART Handler / Installer will have a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts with a background in painting

    Must pass pre-employment drug test and background screening

    Pay RangeThe pay scale starts at $19 an hour, and goes up depending on relevant experience.Benefits currently include:
