    • You have Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) experience, and you are familiar with handling biological specimens, including tumor samples, provided by clinicians.

    **J ob Description **

    The AFM Biotechnician supports the company's Research & Innovation team by ensuring the measurement of biological samples using the ARTIDIS AFM technology. This person covers the complete ARTIDIS life cycle from sample preparation, sample preservation and transport to the ARTIDIS measurement performing high quality measurements at customers sites. Additionally, this person is involved in the measurement quality assessment and optimization down to data analysis specific to AFM measurements but also results evaluation and report writing in the biological or clinical context. Based on her/his experience with biological samples and the ARTIDIS technology, this role is also required to develop assays for new kinds of samples when business opportunities open.

    **D uties + Responsibilities **

    • Handling biological specimens, including tumor samples, provided by clinicians.
    • Execution of experiments at customer site.
    • AFM-related data analysis using ARTIDIS software.
    • Improving measurement and analysis protocols
    • Support Field Service Engineer (FSE)
    • Writing and Reviewing Operating Procedures, Measurement Reports and Work Instructions related to AFM Experiments and Device Operation.
    • Training of new operators.
    • Active participation in all team activities.
    • Comply with the high ethical and professional standards of ARTIDIS.

    Qualifications

    • Highly organized person.
    • Graduate in Biomedical Engineering, Nanoscience, Physics, Material Sciences, Biomedicine, Biotechnology or related fields (B.Sc. level). A master's degree is a plus.
    • Previous experience with scientific instrumentation in academia and/or industry. Experience with AFM is a plus.
    • Previous working experience in a regulated environment (medical, pharma, automotive, or similar).
    • Previous experience in pathology, oncology or related fields is a plus.
    • Ability to troubleshoot any issues that may arise, including problems with the sample manipulation and AFM measurements.
