  • Responsibilities

    With limited direction, the Sr. Human Resources Generalist provides comprehensive professional HR support to employees and management of all levels with a primary focus on HRIS oversight (Employee Central), Policy maintenance, Workforce Planning, Compliance, Diversity/Equity & Inclusion initiatives and Affirmative Action planning and response. This role will also support/backup as needed other generalist areas including Employee Relations and Performance Management. The Sr. HR Generalist is part of a cohesive HR team and will work closely with all members to provide support and communicate programs and resources that align with MEAU initiatives and core values.

     

    POSITION DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:                                             

    • HRIS

    • Ensure accuracy and integrity of master HRIS data, reporting and security.

    • Works closely with HR Analyst on development HR metrics and meaningful reporting.

    • Develop and maintain an HRIS audit cadence to review employee data and identify areas of improvement for data entry, compliance and security.

    • Serve as the lead liaison in the new HRIS, Employee Central implementation project.

    • Work closely with HR team to ensure compliance of HRIS records with U.S., Canada and Mexico regulations and MEUH/MELCO defined requirements.

    • Maintain HRIS security profiles and conduct regular HRIS security audits.

    • Become a subject matter expert (SME) on MEAU HRIS Employee Central and assist in the development of appropriate internal processes based on system capabilities and best practice.

    • Support HR team and management on maximizing HR systems deliverables.

    • Support alignment projects/activities of Employee Central with other HR systems including other Success Factors modules (Compensation, Career Development, Learning Management, Performance Management, Variable Pay), and external systems such as Replicon - Time & Attendance; Silk Road - Talent Acquisition & Onboarding and ADP Vantage - Payroll.

    • WORKFORCE PLANNING/COMPENSATION SUPPORT

    • Collaborate with HR Analyst and Budget Planners to develop workforce plans and associated deliverables during each of MEAU’s biannual budget planning cycles.

    • Partner with supervisors and managers to update and approve new/modified job descriptions and associated incentive plans.

    • Ensure that MEAU Job descriptions are reviewed on a biennial basis and updated in HR’s Job Description database and employee accessible Job Description Library.

    • Coordinate annual and off-cycle internal transfer, promotions and reorganizations, including confirmation communication memos and announcements.

    • Work closely with HR Analyst and Talent Acquisition Specialist to ensure positions are posted with accurate data and in alignment with workforce plan and budget.

    • Utilize internal tools and vendor resources to compile benchmarking data on new roles.

    • Monitor job descriptions for internal pay-grade alignment.

    • COMPLIANCE

    • Ensure MEAU U.S. Policies are updated and accurately reflected on MEAU Policy Library sharepoint.com.

    • Establish and monitor a biennial cadence of policy review to maintain relevance.

    • Support managers and employees with policy questions and interpretations.

    • Make recommendations for policy updates based on feedback, compliance updates and trends.

    • Support onboarding of New Hires by participating in bi-weekly New Hire Orientation to review key policies and practices.

    • Support HR team in data compilation for the Company’s Affirmative Action Plan and required OFCCP reporting, including EEO-1 and Component 2.

    • Support completion of Action Items for the semi-annual meeting of the Legal Compliance Committee.

    • Work closely with HR management in support of corporate Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiatives, including assistance in identifying needs and reviewing policies and corporate practices for areas of opportunity.

    • Coordinate and review annual compliance surveys such as Conflict of Interest. Analyze results and follow up on action items.

    • Conduct regular audits of MEAU positions for FLSA compliance and work with vendor (MRA) for validation of FLSA status for new positions.

    • GENERALIST SUPPORT ACTIVITIES

    • Support Sr. HR Generalist (Employee Experience) in onboarding of New Hires by providing back-up support as needed for orientation of benefits and performance requirements.

    • Support Sr. HR Generalist (Employee Experience) as needed with employee investigations, employee relations issues, disciplinary actions.

    • Provide Performance Management support as needed utilizing the Success Factors’ Performance Management tool.

    • Review and maintain HR SharePoint Communication pages for updated information about areas of primary responsibility.

    • Complete monthly reports for areas of responsibility.

    • Participate and contribute actively in HR Team projects, including monthly Huddle Board.

    • Other job duties as assigned.

     

    SUPERVISORY / MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

    • No direct reports.

     

    TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS

    • Minimal, occasional travel within North America for meetings.

    BENEFICIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Certification in Human Resources (PHR, SPHR, SHRM/CP, SHRM. SCP).
    • Knowledge of Success Factors, Employee Central.
    • Familiarity working in a global business culture.

    Required Skills Required Experience

    ESSENTIAL EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

    • Bachelor Degree in Human Resources or equivalent experience.
    • Minimum 5+ years’ experience in general HR role with hands-on experience working with HRIS systems.
    • Ability to focus on detail and accuracy.
    • High degree of initiative & self-direction.
    • Models integrity, good judgement and ability to maintain confidentiality.
    • Organizational and prioritization skills.
    • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate effectively with all levels across the organization.
    • Solid written, verbal and presentation skills.
    • Working knowledge of MS Office including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.

  • Qualifications

    REQUIRED SKILLS:

    • Must have DoD Unified Capability (UC), Voice Over IP (VOIP), and eVOIP experience in order to provide engineering, planning, testing, and management experience to support DoD Gateways.
    • Working knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory (AD) configuration and setting AD servers and their domain controllers.
    • Must have experience with conducting Security Test and Evaluations under the NIST Risk Management Framework (RMF), understanding of risk management practices and security program development including change management, access control, and physical security.
    • Must be knowledgeable with the Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), and have IP network and security engineering experience including a basic understanding of IP routing, quality of service mechanisms, MPLS, and IPsec architectures.
    • Ability to develop emerging network solutions, user requirements and alignment and business case development.
    • Provide technical and operational input to develop CONOPS and applicable training material.
    • Hands on experience installing, configuring, administering and operating Tenable Security Center and Nessus Scanner, known as Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) in the DoD environment.
    • Hands on experience with Vulnerability Management System (VMS), Host Based Security System (HBSS) and eMASS.

     

    DESIRED SKILLS: Broad knowledge and expertise with DoD network and enclave architecture and operations and associated standards for open systems architectures.
