• Register business licenses with state & local jurisdictions
• File sales & use tax with state and local jurisdictions
• Assist in sales and use tax audits by providing documentation & following up with auditors
• Ensure compliance with sales tax exemption certificates
• Enter projects into the ERP system by ensuring contract value, tax status and other key information is included
• Perform month and year-end processes including state tax filings,  journal entries & account reconciliation
• Assist with 1099 filings
• Serve as primary backup for Accounts Payable with setting up new vendors, obtaining invoice approval and matching purchase orders to receivers and invoices
• Serve as backup for Accounts Receivable with processing credit card payments

Required Skills

• Associates degree in Accounting or 2-5 years of related experience
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Word & Outlook, and the ability to learn accounting systems
• Strong attention to detail
• Deadline-oriented with the ability to multi-task
• Excellent communication skills with individuals both inside and outside the organization
• Well organized with a strong work ethic

PREFERRED

• Experience working with Epicor ERP system
• Experience in manufacturing, job shop or project-based environment
