Associated Supermarket Group (ASG) seeks an Accounts Receivable – Collection Specialist to join our team. The Accounts Receivable – Collection Specialist will be responsible for maintaining a healthy Account Receivable, while monitoring and securing payment of past due receivables. Also responsible for maintaining vendor relations and records of contacts and communications.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain client accounts regularly to identify past due accounts.

Contact customers regarding their outstanding invoices to ensure collection of payments.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date collection records and documentation.

Generating BI-Weekly A/R statements.

Assist the controller in preparation of weekly cash projections.

Participate in bi-weekly meetings with the controller to review client accounts and collections activities.

Work closely with the A/R team to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to cash application.

Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, understanding their needs and addressing any concerns related to collections.

Provide exceptional customer service by responding to inquiries and requests promptly and professionally.

Qualifications

3 years of collection and customer support experience.

Excellent communication (verbal, written, listening) and communication skills.

Must be extremely well organized with outstanding attention to detail and follow-through.

Ability to work independently and as part of a group.

Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and Sage 300 accounting software.

The hiring range for this position is between $55,000 and $65,000 per annum. Exact compensation may vary based on skills and experience.
