We are a leading Independent Supermarket services and product company based in Long Island NY, with clients throughout the Northeast – with a large client base in NYC and Long Island. We are seeking a talented and motivated Summer Intern to join our IT Department. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining hands-on experience in software development within a dynamic and collaborative environment, particularly in the areas of C#, MSSQL, web development languages, JavaScript, HTML, and JSON/XML. This internship will also provide the opportunity to work with Salesforce, utilizing CRUD operations with Salesforce as the datastore.

Internship Program: The goal of our internship program is to provide a high-quality learning experience that helps to form the foundation for a career in the Supermarket services business.

We offer paid internships in three cycles (spring, summer, fall) that align to a typical college semester. Each cycle runs for approximately 10-15 weeks. We ask for a 15–20-hour minimum commitment per week. Interns will be allowed to work a maximum of 25 hours per week. Every intern is assigned a mentor who works closely with them to help navigate the organization, create overall objectives, and oversee their work plan.

Interns will be paid $16.00 per hour and will be provided with a laptop to use during their internship; when the internship ends the laptop will need to be returned to the organization.

Intern Responsibilities:

Specific duties and responsibilities include, but may not be limited to the following:

·Collaborate with the development team to design, develop, and maintain software solutions.

·Assist in the development of web applications using C#, JavaScript, HTML, and other relevant technologies.

·Utilize MSSQL for database management and integration with software applications.

·Participate in the design and implementation of data models and database schemas.

·Work with JSON/XML for data interchange and communication between systems.

·Gain hands-on experience in Salesforce development, including creating, reading, updating, and deleting (CRUD) records within Salesforce.

Qualifications:

·Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

·Proficiency in C#, MSSQL, JavaScript, HTML, and web development languages.

·Familiarity with JSON/XML for data interchange.

·Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly.

·Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

·Prior experience with Salesforce development is a plus, but not required.
