The Asian American Donor Program (AADP) seeks a full-time Community Engagement Representative. You Must speak Cantonese or Mandarin and English. AADP is a community-based organization, working within the Asian/Pacific Islander (API) and multi-ethnic communities throughout Northern California. AADP, an official recruitment agency for Be The Match Registry, is dedicated to the recruitment of API marrow donors for patients with leukemia and other life-threatening blood diseases. AADP's Outreach Coordinators will organize educational events, focused on registration. We do this by building relationships and working with community-based organizations, places of worship, schools, universities, corporations, and community events. Fluency in English and Mandarin or Cantonese (reading, writing, and speaking) 1. Community relationship building 2. Collaborate and coordinate with network members, AADP team, and the community 3. Organize education and recruitment events in the community 4. Social, outgoing, friendly and community-minded 5. Creative and can think outside of the box 6. Self-started 7. Event planning and coordinating - Flexible with work hours (evening work is required for community meetings, and recruitment drives are often scheduled on the weekends (this is a 40/hr week position) Travel: Must have a vehicle for travel throughout Northern California (San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, San Joaquin, Marin, Alameda/Contra Costs, Sacramento, and Suisun counties.)
