The Association of Asian American Investment Managers (AAAIM) is a non-profit organization promoting ethnic and gender diversity within the investment industry. AAAIM is looking for a dynamic and detailed oriented individual to help organize its operational systems and support AAAIM’s public relations and marketing efforts. AAAIM provides a national platform for professionals in the investment field to network and create business opportunities as well as to help emerging leaders become successful contributors to the industry and Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community.
Job Title: Operations and Marketing Manager
Location: Remote Position with periodic face to face meetings (primarily in San Diego area)

General Responsibilities:
Develop and manage database, financial and project management systems.
Manage all corporate documents, board materials, and information needed to seamlessly operate AAAIM.
Support activities related to national conference and regional events.
Work closely with various vendors related to website, email, budget/financial and conference management.
Support fundraising activities such as tracking and updating sponsors.
Support social media strategy and be responsible for timely, accurate, and relevant postings on LinkedIn, Facebook, etc.
Manage website updates as well as support regular newsletter production and distribution.
Support external communications and PR strategy
Skills/Requirements:
Detailed oriented and have understanding of various organizational management and communications tools (e.g., Slack, Mail Chimp, Wild Apricot, Constant Contact..etc)
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Superior written and verbal skills.
An appreciation for the mission, achievement and aspirations of AAAIM.
Strong track record of at least 3 years in providing operational and administrative support.
Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, set priorities, and meet deadlines within a entrepreneurial-style, collaborative environment – with an appreciation for and attention to detail.
Self-starter and able to manage towards agreed-upon metrics and goals without extensive supervision.
A sharp eye for operational efficiency and the best use of resources, including a demonstrated understanding of budgets and the ability to manage them.
An understanding of and appreciation for the use of technology, including proficiency with social media.
Proficiency with Word, Power Point, Excel and other office tools.
Compensation:
Annual Compensation between $45,000 to $60,000, depending on years of professional experience, technical skills and education level.
